Labcorp: nationwide lab services
Labcorp is a nationwide lab service provider that handles lab work sent in by physicians and also offers its own lab Patient Service Center locations (also known as collection sites).
Through our agreement, Sidecar Health members have access to discounted lab services through Labcorp that are lower than their cash or self-pay prices.
How to use Labcorp through your provider with your Sidecar Health benefits
When your provider orders lab services, you can either have your provider send the labs to Labcorp or you can ask your provider for the lab order and go directly to a Labcorp Patient Service Center (see next section for Labcorp direct steps):
- Tell your provider to send your labs to Labcorp. Make sure your provider knows to mark you as a Sidecar Health member before sending samples to Labcorp. You can do this by sharing your policy ID number which you can find on your Digital Member ID card in the member portal.
- Labcorp will bill Sidecar Health. There is no need for you to swipe your Sidecar Health VISA benefit card at Labcorp.
- Sidecar Health will create an expense in your account.
- If you have a deductible, you will be notified of your balance once we have closed the claim.
How to use Labcorp directly with your Sidecar Health benefits
To take advantage of our relationship with Labcorp, follow these simple steps:
- Call your desired Labcorp Patient Service Center to schedule an appointment.
- When they ask about insurance, let them know you have coverage through Sidecar Health. If the representative is unfamiliar with our process, share your policy ID number from your Digital Member ID card in the member portal and let them know to bill Sidecar Health directly. Mail to:

- Go to the Patient Service Center on the day of your appointment. You should not be required to pay at this time.
- Sidecar Health will handle payment directly with Labcorp. No need to swipe your Sidecar Health VISA benefit card.

How much does Labcorp charge for lab services?
For all services provided by Labcorp, the pricing will be at or below the Benefit Amount. Through our direct payment agreement, Sidecar Health has posted pricing for over 1,600 lab services offered by Labcorp on the Sidecar Health member portal.
Why did Labcorp send me a bill?
If Labcorp sends you a bill, contact their customer service team at 800-845-6167 and tell them to bill Sidecar Health directly. Let Labcorp know your policy ID number from your Digital Member ID Card in the member portal. Mail to:
