What are my preventive care benefits?

Preventive care is routine treatment that prevents illnesses, diseases, or other health problems.
With the Sidecar Health Employer plans, preventive care services are covered at your plan’s Benefit Amount regardless of whether your deductible is met. This includes services such as blood pressure and HIV screening for adults, birth control and maternal depression screening for mothers at well-baby visits, and immunizations and well-child visits. You can view a list of services covered as preventive care here. Treatment is considered preventive based on the diagnoses your provider includes in the medical invoices you submit. If symptoms are reported within your provider’s diagnoses, the care may no longer be processed as preventive. Speak with your provider for details.
